Badminton Flat High Clear and Long High Clear

Chen Weihua Badminton Training - Episode 8 (Mandarin with English Subtitles)
Hosted by Coach Chen Weihua, coach of world champions

In this beginner badminton training video, Coach Chen Weihua goes over the badminton flat high clear, the long high clear, and their distinction. The long high clear is useful for taking your opponent out of position i.e. forcing them to use their backhand. The flat high clear is more abrupt and quick which creates more threat and is used mainly for attacking or creating offensive opportunities for your next shot. The contact points between the two badminton shot has a very obvious difference. The contact point for the long high clear is above the head, while the contact point for the flat high clear is more forward, about 10cm to 20cm distance.

The first minute of the training video is not in sync with the audio. After that, it's ok. Enjoy!
